Application

Washington Heights Church would like to add a formal sanctuary auditorium to their existing campus. The 30,000sf addition will include an initial seating capacity of 1,500 in fixed seats on the main level. A later phase will add an additional 500 fixed seats in a balcony. An expanded foyer / circulation space along with restroom facilities will be added to better facilitate circulation and exiting. Current parking accommodates nearly 650 parking stalls. The proposal is to replace the affected stalls and retain a similar parking count. A loop drive is also proposed for expedite better site circulation. The building will have sloped floors allowing us to recess the building deeper into the existing site grading and maintain appropriate architectural massing and connection to the existing campus rooflines.

Good morning Tucker,

I have included the responses from the Civil Engineer in this comment thread and will upload supporting documents from the Civil Engineer in the documents tab of this project. Please go over them and let us know if these satisfy the comments you had posted. Thank you!

  1. See sheet CE3-02 for storm drainage calculations.    Also refer to sheet CE3-03 for Drainage Exhibit of the expanded detention ponding area (with adjusted outlet control structure headwall).  Refer to sheet CE5-05 for adjusted outlet control structure that provides the required ponding depth.
  2. Please refer to sheet CE4-01 (Civil Utility Plan).  The storm water continues in the storm drain pipe (after the control structure), and heads north, northwesterly, then west and ties into the storm drainage piping system that then outfalls running south.  See also earlier recorded drainage easement with Weber County (see attached pdf).
  3. Yes there is an existing detention pond.  The existing pond did not have enough capacity, but will have the needed capacity with the widening of the detention pond to the south and the adjusting of the existing headwall elevation.
  4. Refer to sheet CE1-02 for the SWPPP for this project.
