The Ogden Valley Planning Commission will hold a follow-up discussion regarding short-term rentals during their 11/17/2020 meeting. During this meeting the commission my take action and provide a recommendation to the County Commission on this topic.
Planning staff has prepared a memo including updated potential regulations scenarios and associated ordinance. This memo has been uploaded to the documents tab.
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Western Weber Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on November 10, 2020. The meeting will begin at 5:00 PM and will be held in the County Commission Chambers, 1st Floor, Weber Center, 2380 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah. The hearing is regarding the following:
· A county-initiated proposal to amend Section 108-7-25 of the Weber County Land Use Code regarding Nightly/Short-Term Rentals to potentially modify areas in the unincorporated county where short-term rentals may be permitted, provide for updated licensing requirements, establish specific operational and management standards, and establish more robust violation and administrative penalty structures.
Copies of the proposals may be reviewed in the Weber County Planning Division Office located in Suite #240 of the Weber Center.
Due to COVID-19, the method of public participation is also available by electronic video conferencing. The video conferencing details will be posted on the meeting agenda at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting. Please call 801-399-8405 ahead of time to confirm participation details. Any other questions about the proposals may be directed to Scott Perkes at sperkes@webercountyutah.gov or 801-399-8772.
