Zoning Text Amendment (ZTA) to add provisions for a Nordic Village within the existing Village Zoning Ordinance. Applicant initially submitted a request to create a new zoning classifications (DRR-2) to allow for resort style development at the Nordic Village base area. At the request of Planning Division staff, the applicant withdrew their request to create a DRR-2 zoning classification in favor of a text amendment to the recently adopted Form-Based Village Zone classification to add provisions specific to the creation of a Nordic Valley Village area. This adjustment was accepted by the applicant is now under legislative review.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the Ogden Valley Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on March 22, 2022. The meeting will begin at 5:00 PM and will be held in the County Commission Chambers, 1st Floor, Weber Center, 2380 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah. The hearing is regarding the following:

·       Public hearing to discuss and/or take action on an application to amend the Form-Based Village zoning ordinance along with other sections of the Weber County Land Use Code to add provisions and exhibits intended to create a Nordic Valley Village Area.

Copies of the proposal(s) may be reviewed in the Weber County Planning Division Office located in Suite #240 of the Weber Center. Please call 801-399-8374 ahead of time to confirm participation details. Any other questions about the proposal(s) may be directed to Scott Perkes at sperkes@webercountyutah.gov or 801-399-8772.

The original Zoning Text Amendment (ZTA) application submitted consisted of a request to create a new zoning classification (DRR-2) to allow for resort style development at the Nordic Village base area. This text amendment would serve to add provisions specific to the creation of a Nordic Valley Village area within the existing framework of the Form-Based Village Zoning ordinance. This adjustment was accepted by the applicant is now under legislative review.

This Zoning Text Amendment (ZTA 2021-07) application is being reviewed in tandem and simultaneously with the associated Zoning Map Amendment (ZMA 2021-09) application.
