I finished my review of the storm water calculations and site plan submitted and emailed my comments to Price Engineering. I have a couple of questions for you on the storm water calcs on this project. 1- In the calcs the required detention area is given. What is the area of the two proposed ponds? 2- You used a coefficient of 0.60 for a gravel parking lot. Do you have anything that I could place in the file on why this would be 0.60. Typically we see them around 0.80. 3- On page 4 the coefficient is 0.75 for the building and the grass. Can these two be broken out. 4- There are a couple of notes on the attached plan “Wolf Mountain Site Plan_Reduced” that pose some questions. Will the swale to the north of the pond be sufficient to convey the water to the pond? If the outlet structure (Detail 3) gets clogged off will the pond be compromised if the back side erodes? 5- The last thing and I am not sure that it is really necessary at this point but it would help if the existing and proposed contours were differentiated is someway like by color or line type etc. So maybe just as a future reference. I think that as soon as these items get addressed we will be good with the supplied information. I have tried to address all items of concern from the engineering department. However, this review does not forego other items of concern that may come to this department’s attention during additional reviews or during construction of improvements. I received the storm water calculations and a site plan showing the detention pond design last week. I posted them today.

The proposed expansion must address septic location and size. To expedite the procedure contact Health Department staff.
