I would like to build a pole barn and place it in the Southwest corner of my lot. There is a 20 foot easement along the West property line and a 10 foot easement along the South property line. I would ask to reduce the West easement to 10 feet and remove the South easement entirely.

Scott Perkes - 6/8/2021

The County Commission voted to approve the applicant's request to vacate the rear (south) lot line easement and to reduce the side (west) lot line easement during their 6/8/2021 meeting. Staff will be publishing a Notice of Ordinance Adoption in the Standard Examiner in the next few days. The vacation of the easements will take effect 14 days following the publishing of this notice. Additionally, a Notice of Decision will be issued from the Planning Division to the applicant. Lastly the formal Ordinance instrument that has been signed by the County Commission will be recorded. This ordinance will allow the easements to be removed from county mapping records. All of the aforementioned documents will be uploaded to the Documents tab once available.

The County Commission typically issues meeting agendas on the Friday prior to a scheduled meeting. As such, an agenda should be issued by end of day on 6/4/2021. You can pull a copy of the agenda from the following weblink once uploaded by the Commission office:
