The installed septic system was designed for a 3 bedroom home (450 gallons per day). Determining wastewater flow rates for a commercial application will depend on the type of use. Assuming a camp type environment with showers, for 450 gpd @ 30 gpd per person, the maximum daily occupancy on the farm is 15 people at any one time on the existing septic system. This includes an indoor food preparation facility without a garbage disposal or dishwasher. The plan should show the tank and drainfield area as well as the drainfield replacement area. See the attached as-built drawing for reference.
