Application

Request to approve a church, school, and residential retreat for the disabled and elderly within an existing Single-Family Dwelling. The request would include a conversion of the home into a Ministerial retreat, where accommendatons could be provided for a short-term basis to various individuals, groups (religous or community based), and families. Retreats may include enjoyment of area recreational facilities such as skiing, boating, and golfing.

The proposed church, school, and residential retreat would provide a meeting and lodging location for groups seeking physical, spiritual, or emotional healing and recovery. The ministry will service and not discriminate nor exclude those with in an elderly or disbaled community.

This application was terminated, as the owner has proposed and been permitted for a residential facility for disabled persons.

Two septic permits were found for this house. Ms. Sebaske is investigating where and if both systems are installed. Final bedroom count for the project will be determined by what is found.

I have many questions regarding this project. It would be very helpful to meet with the petitioner to clarify exactly how the building will be used. I cannot complete the review for this project until I have more information. It may be necessary to have a building floor plan which indicates where each type of use will be conducted. Some of the questions are: 1. Will there be a full time resident on site? 2. Is the school a full time school? 3. What ages are the children? 4. Where in the building will the school be located? 5. Will there be any child care (daycare type setting)?
