I think we can consider the proposed variance to 12 feet. The westerly retaining wall however cannot encroach into the right of way. The embankment west of the driveway needs to be dressed back to provide for site distance to the roadway. Flair the driveway to the west to provide a right angle approach to the roadway to remove the easterly skew. A culvert is needed under the driveway for roadway drainage. Catch the drainage from either side of the house and pipe it to the roadway swale behind any retaining walls. Blane Frandsen PE
