I have received 2 RFP's from other counties that I am using to write the RFP for this project.

This pathway will go a long way to resolving the concerns of parents and children getting to the new elementary school on 1900 N. Many of the students in the subdivisions north of the proposed pathway are too close to the school to ride a school bus. Consideration should be given to clearing the pathway of snow during the winter to permit save passage for students walking along Hwy 166.

I'm meeting Weber Pathways on site tomorrow to go over all the issues around the bridge and try to help them make some decision on how to move forward.

Met with Century Link yesterday about all their lines which were blue staked at the canal crossing. They gave me drawings and explained the requirements for building on or near these lines. We may need to consider a narrower bridge than the one from North Fork Park which we were planning to use. Alan has started checking on prices for a different bridge.

GSH was onsite yesterday to do their borings, they discovered fiber optic, power & phone lines everywhere between the asphalt and the fence line. Alan & I will be meeting with Century Link next Tuesday to discuss options. If we have to go around all the utilities we will have to go onto private property. Alan will talk to property owner to see if he'd be willing to allow that.

GSH & Earth Tech have been asked for bids on geo technical report for the footings at the canal.

I sent Tommy the information Weber Pathways gave me, they want the sign put on one post and moved as far to one side or the other as possible. Working on getting bids for a Geo Tech report. Once we have a geo-tech report we will gets bids on the footing design then put the project out to bid.

I spoke to Tommy at UDOT regarding the recreational sign, he indicated there isn't much leeway when it comes to the location of the signs but asked for pictures and where we want it moved to. I went up and looked at the area today and took pictures. I emailed Weber Pathways and asked where they want it moved to. Waiting to hear before I contact Tommy again.

Started working on design today.
N/A - 3/22/2012
I sent an email to Tommy Vigil about getting the recreational sign moved.

I attended a meeting Monday at the Weber Pathways office. I need to determine if a geo-technical report is required for the bridge abutments. I also need to determine ownership of a recreations sign and find out how to get it moved. $125,000 of the $132,500 applied for has been awarded so they are ready for me to start the pathway design as well as get a design for the bridge abutments.

I had a meeting with Weber Pathways today. I need to look into the bridge abutment design and start the design for the trail.

I reviewed Weber Pathways budget for this project this morning and had no changes to it.
N/A - 12/14/2011
I received 2 estimates from local contractors and sent them to Weber Pathways to add to their RAMP application.
N/A - 12/7/2011
I've prepared a drawing and scope of project to obtain estimates with. I sent them to S & S Excavating and Dig It. The estimates are required to accompany the application to RAMP for 2012 funds. Waiting for the estimates to come back.
