This request to amend the zoning map by changing the zoning from the Agricultural A-1 zone to the Residential RE-15 zone on a 40-acre parcel located at approximately 4083 West 1400 South will be presented to the County Commission in a public hearing. The hearing will take place in the County Commission Chambers on the first floor of the Weber Center, located at 2380 Washington Blvd, Ogden, Utah, at 10:00 am.

On December 10, 2024, the Western Weber Planning Commission forwarded a positive recommendation to the Weber County Commission of the Brook View Zoning Map Amendment with the following motion:

A motion for a positive recommendation to the county commission with the following recommendations:

  1. Standards from the development agreement are included in this recommendation
  2. The concept plan is sufficient to meet the connectivity standards
  3. The developer will communicate with the Weber County Housing Authority to set aside ten percent of the total housing units for affordable housing or attainable housing.
  4. The Weber County Outdoor lighting code should be applied to all outdoor lighting within the development.
  5. Improvements will be made to 1400 South Street to 3500 West following the Weber County Planning and Engineering recommendations.
  6. Irrigation to surrounding areas will be maintained or undisturbed.

This proposal will be presented before the Western Weber Planning Commission in a public hearing on December 10, 2024. This is a request for a positive recommendation to rezone 40 acres of land currently Agricultural (A-1) and change the zoning to Residential (R1-15), allowing for a 15,000 SF lot density. The meeting on December 10 will take place in the County Commission Chambers located at 2380 Washington Blvd, 1st floor, and begins at 5:00 pm.
