Application

A request for a variance to provide an access for an accessory apartment in the basement along the side or rear of the single family dwelling located on site. There is a walk out basement along the front of the home, the code requires an access to the accessory apartment along the side or rear of the home. A staircase located along the rear of the home could increase flooding potential based on the close proximaty to a stream on the property.  The Weber County Land Use Code allows for projections into required yard setbacks in §108-7-2.  The staircase can be allowed along the side of the home which currently has 12' between the home and the property line.  The required setback is 10'/14'.  The staircase can encroach into the side yard setback by upto three feet.  

The applicant has submitted a request on 12/3/14 to withdraw the variance request and has requested all application fees be refunded.  The request has been forwarded for refund to be processed.
