Project is nearly complete. The cover has been removed from the pervious concrete and all other concrete has been completed. The asphalt around the new waterway needs to be patched. That may be happening today or tomorrow.

I received the signed Notice to Proceed 10/25/11 and visited the site yesterday. They are coming along well on Jared Way and South on Jennifer Drive. I spoke to the home owner at the end of the cul-de-sac about his driveway. He want me to replace his entire approach and sidewalk so his trailers wouldn't scrape going in and out of his drive. I have Mike with me on site and we both agreed that it isn't anything the County should pay for because it was all in decent condition and the transitions were reasonable. The home owner decided to hire Stark Bros to do the work while they were there. We waived all fees on the excavation permit.

Pre-construction meeting on site with contractor and Kelly. Blue stakes has marked the necessary areas, I marked the portions of concrete to be removed and he intends to start tomorrow after County Commission approves the PO. He anticipates getting all the sidewalk done before his trip to Lake Powell next week, the doing the pervious concrete when he returns.

I emailed Curt Stark to let him know that the PO for this project will be going to the County Commission for approval on the 25th. I'm trying to get a pre-construction meeting set up prior to the approval so we can get started as soon as we get the approval.

10-3-2011 Received email from contractor stating that his performance bond will be here any day.

Emailed contractor to see when he will have his performance bond to me and let him know that we needed to get going with this project.

Had a meeting with Stark Brothers on Friday to discuss their bid and experience with pervious concrete. They are comfortable with their bid and have an expert from Parson's who will be onsite to help with the pervious concrete. I told him we just needed his performance bond, then we could get the ball rolling on our end.

3 bids were submitted. The apparent low bidder is Stark Brothers, however they will not be awarded the bid until I go through every item and qualify them.
