Application

This is a project that I am working on with Weber Pathways utilizing RAMP fund to extend the Pineview Loop Pathway from 1900 North along the East side of the reservior to 500 North. This project will be done in 2 phases.

Pineview Loop Pathway was started years ago, I became involved in the project in Late 2010. We have recently been approved RAMP funds for the portion of the trail connecting into the existing pathway on 1900 North running along the West side of Hwy 166 south to just past Middle Fork. The pathway will eventually extend all along Hwy 166 from just south of Middle Fork to the Huntsville corner and meadner through the town of Huntsville, along the east of the reservior to Anderson Cove.

We received the Notice to Proceed from the State today

I have received 2 RFP's from other counties that I am using to write the RFP for this project.

This project meets the Ogden Valley Pathways ordinance. It is a key piece of the pathway to circumventing Pineview Reservoir.

I'm meeting Weber Pathways on site tomorrow to discuss the issues involved with the bridge and help them to decide how to move forward.
N/A - 4/25/2012
Received 3 quotes on bridges. Met with Century Link yesterday to discuss fiber optic lines. They gave me drawings of the areas showing their lines. Doesn't look like it will be a problem to put the bridge in the original location. We are just waiting for the geo-tech report to move forward.

Jim Wells with the River Commission has indicated the metering equipment hasn't been used since the reservoir was filled. Chris Hogge is checking with USGS & Pineview Water to see if we can remove the equipment. Depending on what is below the station will determine the location of the bridge. I spoke to Larry this morning about the right of way line, he indicated he has tied down several highway monuments along that road in the past, but can help us if necessary.

Fiber Optic lines are right where we had planned to construct the bridge over North Middle Inlet so the idea was brought up to construct the bridge between the existing metering equipment and the fence. As I look at various overlays in this area, I think it would be a good idea to get Larry involved to determine exactly where the right of way line is. It will be a tight fit in the new location.
N/A - 4/19/2012
Excel, Big R & Contech have been provided with specifications and asked for estimates on the bridge.
N/A - 4/19/2012
GSH was onsite yesterday to do their borings and found fiber optic lines right down the center of our proposed bridge location. Mark Miller suggested the bridge be pushed against the right of way line, so now it's necessary to track down the owner of the metering equipment.

2 bids for geo-tech reports have been acquired.
N/A - 4/9/2012
GSH & Earth Tech have been asked for bids on the geo technical report for the footing and abutments at Middle Inlet.
N/A - 4/6/2012
I spoke to Daren Rasmussen yesterday about the span of the bridge proposed in the Stream Alteration Permit. He said we are not bound to that span and would be okay with shortening it as long as we stayed out of the 100 year flood plain and didn't narrow the river corridor at all. He would like me to send any changes to him so he keep his file updated.

I attended a meeting Monday at the Weber Pathways office. They are ready for me to get a bridge & abutment design. Bio-West is almost done with their portion, they just have final certifications to complete to secure the funding.

Today Nate signed the Stream Alteration Permit & Wetland Permit which was prepared by Bio-West. I sent the signed documents along with a check from Weber Pathways to Bio-West to sign and submit to the appropriate agencies.

I sent my preliminary design to Bio-West and Weber Pathways yesterday for comments before I start the construction drawings.
N/A - 10/6/2011
I received projection adjusted data from Bio-West which matches the information I have. I am currently working on the pathway design.

Had an on site meeting yesterday with Weber Pathways and the Nibley's (property owners on West side of road). They had questions and concerns about the project. He pointed out 3 water crossings and 3 farm accesses which need to be maintained during and after the project. It was a good and productive meeting.

Today there was an on-site meeting with myself and Pathways to determine the next stretch of pathway which RAMP money will be applied for next. We determined that it would be Hunstville corner. This portion will start on Hwy 166 and meander throughout the town of Huntsville. There will be wetlands involved, a stream alteration permit will be required and we will be working closely with the Mayor of Huntsville town for the location of the pathway.
N/A - 8/31/2011
Bio-West has been awarded the contract through Weber Pathways to mitigate all wetlands. Inadequate information has been provided to me from Bio-West identifying the wetland boundaries. I am currently working with Larry to get a common datum between our information and that provided from Bio-West.
