I have concerns for the riders' safety as they reach the top of Old Snowbasin Road and intersect with the traffic attempting to turn south into Snowbasin's parking lot for the Spartan race. This concern has been expressed to the event producer. Since my discussion with her, I have been made aware that Spartan is trying to gain approval to let athletes park along the frontage road into Snowbasin which would cause additional potential interactions with these cyclists. I am not certain of the status of this request, but something to be aware of. Spartan is expecting approximately 7000 athletes. They let them off in waves of 250 every 15 minutes.
