Application

30th June 2016,

Stoker Pit Tax Id 210090007.

Mr. Scott Kelly came in on the 30th June to inquire about the dirt being placed at Stoker Pit. Planner Ben Hatfield and myself talked to him at

length. He was requesting information about the history of the pit why it was aloud in the first place how many years it was open when and what was done for the reclamation and what was happening now.

1.  The historical background I suggested he fill out a GRAMA request and any records we have we can make him a copy of, which he did fill out. I passed it along to Sherri to fill out.

2.  With what was going on right now I would have to find out by doing some investigation and that might take a bit of time. I did tell him I would go out and see what was going on, get in contact with the parties involved if he would call me back in approximately two weeks I would have some information for him if I found out sooner I would contact him with what I found out.

 Mr. Scott Kelly Phone 949-338-4546.

21st July. Received a disgruntled phone call from Mr.Kelly and bout what was going on at Stoker Pit so I explained what I was doing that I hadn’t had any information back yet and was still waiting. He informed me that it was S&S Excavating that was leaving the dirt so I called Mr. Kurt Summers (801-430-3447) one of the owners and asked him, he informed me that Val Stoker Jack’s son was the one that contacted him about the clean fill so I asked him if he had a phone number and he gave me Mr. Val Stoker’s number (801-745-7310) so I called him and asked him what he was intending and he said that he wanted to fill the pit so he could graze some animals there as it was nine acres he wanted to use it and this seemed like a good idea to him. He said that in the spring the pit tends to fill with water and it gets very muddy and stays that way for a very long time so he is unable to do anything. I again talked to Chad Meyerhoffer about what the use was and what Mr. Stoker had planned he said that he did not require a S.W.P.P.P. I also talked to Mr. Scott Mendoza Assistant Director about the situation and what was being proposed by Mr. Stoker and he also agreed that as long as it is not being used as a contractor storage and just being used for agriculture to level out the pit to use it to graze animals there should not be a problem.
