Initially this project was submitted as a text amendment for the CVR-1 zone. After deliberation over the request and after communication with the applicant, staff and the applicant agreed that the best course of action would be to amend the CV-2 zone instead of the CVR-1 zone. Staff's recommendation to the planning commission is for a text amendment to the CV-2 zone.

On July 26, 2016, The Ogden Valley Planning Commission offered a positive recommendation to the County Commission for this amendment. The decision was unanimous.

The final staff recommended text amendments for this application have been completed, and are provided in the staff report for the Planning Commission's July 26, 2016 meeting. This staff report can be downloaded in the 'files' tab (above). A public hearing has been scheduled for this item for the 26th meeting.

This application was originally notices as a public hearing for July 5, 2016. However, because the request evolved after the notice was sent we canceled the hearing on the 5th in favor of a work session to discuss the direction of the application with the Planning Commission. The July 5th meeting ran late on other items and no work session was held. On July 6, 2016 staff sent the Planning Commission an email explaining the request.
