Delete the requirements that 60% of the roof must be pitched at least 2-12 pitch and replace with the following:
Roof surface shall have woodshakes, asphalt, and compositions of: wood shingles, concrete, metal tiles, slate, built-up gravel, or other materials approved by the International Residential Code. Roof Pitch shall be per the minimum requirements of the International Residential Code for specific roofing surfaces.
This change is requested to allow for a wider variety of architectural forms that exist and work with current building materials and technologies as well as the ability to control water, snow, and ice for safety of people, and durability and life of structures. Lower building heights can also be attributed to these roof forms.
