Powder Mountain is hosting a "primitive" camping weekend that is intended to provide campsites for the public and participants of the El Doce mountain bike race event that is taking place at Powder Mountain on Saturday, August 18th, 2018. The camping area will be located west of the Summit Village development area, beyond the end of the pavement on Summit Pass. The area consists of 60 small campsites (1 car, 1 tent, 4 people) and 6 large campsites (5 cars, x tents, 20 people). The overall number of campsites can accommodate 360 people. The event includes food service, portable restrooms, and a no campfire/no open flame policy, etc. There are no road closures associated with the camping event. See event application for details. This is not a review of the El Doce mountain bike race. The race is supported by resort facilities and is exempt from special event review.
