October 7, 2013 WACOG approved funds for Weber County to start the property acquisition process for a future expansion project.  The project is seeking to acquire the right-of-way west of 4700 effectively all the way out to Little Mountain.  One of the issues in that area is the industrial growth that will occur, especially around Little Mountain.  The application stated one of the main focuses will be on preserving right-of-way now in the anticipation of the likelihood of a future industrial park in the north-west region of Weber County; it would be appropriate for a transportation project to be well ahead of any development.  The request came in at 1.2 million dollars, as the subcommittee reviewed the length of project and the area which will be buying right-of-way, they recommend approving up to 2 million dollars.

Project meeting was held yesterday. CRS is finishing up the survey and has nearly completed platting the deeds along the corridor. We took our first look at possible alignment yesterday, still very much up in the air. The PI website is in the process of being built, the 1-800 number for Holin will be available next week. We are trying to schedule a couple open houses for the end of August. Notice will go out once a facility is scheduled. CRS is having difficulty getting access to ePM, they are working with UDOT on this.
