In short, I agree with the report Ernest Rowley put together. I don't believe that parcel 17-019-0016 exists on the ground. In my opinion we should record a document to release any interest we may have in the record parcel. I believe this parcel to be a result of mathematical errors in a a deed call and a section corner tie. The deeds containing these errors contain adequate bounds calls to clearly interpret the intent, and to apply rules of construction. See attached files and correspondence from Ernest Rowley and myself on the matter.
Not much to state but the obvious. It was obtained by the county at a tax sale in 1981. The total delinquent tax amount was only $39.55 but nobody bid on it so it was struck off to the county. I can't see any reason why the county would want to hold on to it. If there is an abutting property owner that wants it, it would be nice to combine it with their property.
